Help Collage LEAP into the future!
Celebrate Leap Year with a gift of just $29.
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Every four years, February gets an extra day. Some people say it's to help balance the calendar with Earth's orbit around the Sun, but here at Collage Dance we know that it is just an opportunity to take a giant LEAP towards our vision of a world-class ballet company and school.
Why else would it be called LEAP DAY if it was not an opportunity to advance, rise, and soar???
When I am dancing I feel happy. I really love dance and the Collage. I like how people get to just dance and do what they love there. The teachers help me with learning new things I didn't know and that helps me get better. It helps me be the best at the thing I love the most.
My favorite dance memory is when I got to dance at The Orpheum. Being backstage and then seeing all the people was exciting. I like showing everyone the dance we learned. Doing what I love on stage there made me want to LEAP!
Like most performing arts organizations, Collage relies on donations from individual supporters to provide its world-class programming. Your support can help propel Collage to become the leading international Black ballet company while remaining deeply rooted in the Memphis community.
Will you join me this Leap Day and donate a gift of $29 to support their mission to inspire the growth of ballet?
Thank you!
About Collage:
For 14 years, Collage Dance has worked to inspire the growth and diversity of ballet. Collage Dance is one of the only professional ballet companies in the world with a roster of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) dancers and the Collage Dance Conservatory trains more children of color in a classical art form than any other non-profit in the area.
The organization has grown tremendously since 2009, is now one of the largest 50 ballet companies in the United States and was recently named a Southern Cultural Treasure by SouthArts and the Ford Foundation.
The Collage Dance Conservatory welcomes students of all backgrounds and races and is proactive in its efforts to engage students of color in an effort to address the racial inequity in classical ballet.
